The created horrors willingly walk into the mouth to be consumed, each one making void-Margaret more solid as the Entity strengthens its grip, speaking through her: "I am the void between heartbeats... speaking myself into existence through you." Using child's logic, void-Margaret speaks them directly to the fountain where she finds the thirtieth recording at the bottom-warm like skin, like a throat— discovering it's herself. Holding her own existence as a record while reality folds around them, she must choose what ending to speak into being.
