Wednesday 29 October 

Rubbish sleep on Tuesday night. I had a fairly strong coffee (and energy tablets) to stay awake for the Toppermost episode that didn’t take place at 1 o n the morning my time. I fell asleep after five in the morning.

An episode of Miranda. 

I woke up at around 10am, but come 2 in the afternoon, I was too tired to do anything. I had an hour nap, and after lunch I went to the laundrette to drop some washing off, and nipped to Tesco for some thermal socks - it’s getting to that time of the year, where I need to stay warm for all of that outside work on night shifts.

I couldn’t sleep, so dropped off around 8am. 

Thursday 13 November -

My sleep was rubbish, which is a shame, because I’m on a run of seven night shifts now, so no chance of catching up on sleep. As I say to a lot of people, I think a big problem in the world is having to work so many hours to earn money. 

Anyway, the usual Friday for me when I get back in from work - home at 9am, sleep from around 9:30 to 2pm (four and a half hours) before leaving for work at 3:45pm. 

I recorded a great chat with Elsie Escobar, former Director of Community and Content for Libsyn. It was great speaking with someone who has been listening to podcasts since the mid to late 2000’s like myself, and talking about the changes in the world of podcasting over that time.

I kept falling asleep and missed recording a podcast with guests for Pods Like Us. I won’t say who they were, but I’m going to listen to their show when it comes out, because it sounds cool. My fault entirely, and I hope that the chance comes again, even though I really pissed them off.

  Sunday August 10th 2025 -  I got in from the Saturday night shift at twenty past five, and drifted to sleep a little after six in the morning.  A minute or so after ten in the morning, I woke up for the toilet and looked at my phone. I noticed that I had missed phone calls and messages from my aunties Carol and Ann, as well as a fairly recent message from my younger brother James.
