Friday January 28 2022 - The Blurb - Not much sleep again, despite having gotten in at around 8:30am from work.  I found it very difficult to get to sleep, and then had to get up at 2:30pm to leave for work before 4 to start at 5. All told I probably got less than four hours sleep. Andy on the other mobile made me laugh a few times with the phone calls.  I suppose it’s not a funny thing, but with all of the office staff at work being off with Covid, it’s just made things more difficult, but how do you have a contingency in place for something like this in the workplace? As well as the podcasts listed here, I also listened to the recording of mine and Mike’s chat about his show My Classic Album.  I’m posting that episode up on Sunday, as well as a bonus half hour chat between us on the patreon page, which I sort of feel bad about doing, because that’s like begging for money essentially, but money is something that I desperately need at present. I left work at around a quarter to six,

Thursday January 27 2022 - The Blurb - Thursday at work though… Andy on the other mobile job was very chatty again, which I don’t mind. I did sort of get miffed that I don’t get as much podcast listening in as I’d like, but in a way it does interfere with my work, and may possibly distract me from anything that might be going on. I have to find time somewhere to listen to all of these great shows. From another time over the next few days after Thursday I remember Louise asking me about how many hours I spend driving, to which I said usually around 76 to 80 hours, which means that technically I am behind the wheel of a vehicle for around half of my whole life.  A pretty ordinary shift, although I did read the memo left for me about the forthcoming weekend shifts, with Sunday particularly pissing me off - 15 hours here I come. I got home surprisingly at around 8:30am, but had lots of trouble sleeping again, drifting off after 9am, to get up at 2:30pm. The ‘casts - (Notes spoken to Siri

Tuesday January 25 2022 - Got in from work at around 9:10am, didn’t drift off until around 11:15, sleeping through the midday alarm, waking up at 3pm.  I remember us watching some of The World According To Jeff Goldblum on Disney Plus, and The Secret Life Of Our Pets on the ITV Hub. Lot of trouble sleeping again on Tuesday night, which is a regular thing with all of my sleep lately. Wednesday  - I didn’t feel like doing much of anything initially… I hadn’t gotten much sleep, maybe a few hours literally. I got to the laundry at 2pm to find it already closed, so that will be next week then… I went from there to Wilkinson’s for a bulb and a couple of other bits. While I was out doing these bits I did a spot of podcast listening. After that I went back home, from which we got ready and went out to finally watch the newish film Spider-Man No Way Home, which I enjoyed, but Louise seemed a little underwhelmed by saying that she thought it “didn’t live up to the hype”. I gave it four and a h

Monday January 24 2022 - The Blurb - So I got home on Monday morning from the Sunday night shift at 7:30am, got to bed for about 8:30am, and woke up at 2:30pm, and I was still absolutely shattered. I left for work around 4pm, and should have left sooner because the traffic to work was terrible. Work was busy, and tiring. The journey back home from work wasn’t awful, and I got in from work at about ten past nine in the morning.  The ‘casts - (Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember)! 80sography - (0:52) March 1 2021: second part of the interview with A&R man Dave Bates talking about his work with Tears For Fears. 3 Minute Lesson - (0:03) episode 273: April 28 2021: operation ivy bells.  Daily Dad Jokes - (0:02) January 15 2021: great jokes The Short Shorts - (0:04) August 28 2020: Time Bubble - “SciFi: What if time affected our lives in a different way, what if we could see our past happening in front of us at all times?” Undiscovered Entrepreneurs - (0:16) episode 0:

Sunday January 23 2022 - The Blurb - I didn’t sleep very well, and was so tired when I woke up at 2:30 in the afternoon. The episode of Pods Like Us had gone out, and was already received relatively well before I even advertised it. I say relatively because the numbers aren’t really anything to shout about with my show at all. I think it’s perhaps one of my best episodes, from my own point of view.  Click here for Pods Like Us episode mentioned. Work was busy from start to a later finish… An alarm twenty minutes before what should have been my finishing time really pissed me off, especially when I had already been there in the night unable to gain access due to a problem with the keys.  I drove for 25 minutes to get there, called up the appropriate people to repeat that I couldn’t gain access and what little I could see seemed fine. “Thank you, we’ll call another key holder now to come out and reset it. You can leave now.” Less than ten minutes there, and another 25 minute drive back
