The ‘casts - (Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember) The Strange Brew - (1:16) November 29 2022: Jason is joined by the wonderful Ken Womack to discuss recordings produced by George Martin before his involvement with the Beatles, and that scene. It’s interesting, because I was actually thinking of doing a deep dive into George’s other production work is a podcast, but I haven’t got the time to do my own podcast these days, never mind another one. A lovely piece by Debussy to start with - Prelude. Skiffling strings by Ron Goodwin. Mock Mozart by Peter Ustinov. Robin hood by Dick James. shadows on the grass by Peter Sellers and Irene Handl. Don’t You Rock Me Daddy-O by The Vipers Skiffle Group. Don’t Let Go by Jim Dale. Goodness gracious me by Peter Sellers and Sophia Loren. You’re Driving Me Crazy by The Temperance Seven. George songwriting under the pseudonym of Graham Fisher. Matt Monro song My Kind Of Girl (written by George under that name). Hole In The Ground by Be

Before you ask, yes I did skip through to see if there was anything else, and eventually moved on to the next pod. Two Days Off - Not The Pod Files As Such

Tuesday December 27th, 2022 - Got in from work at about 6:15am. Made an Earl Grey to take to bed. The bergamot in there helps with sleep apparently. I think I dropped off at about half past seven or eight o’clock. Woke up at midday with the help of the alarm.  Two episodes of Toppermost of the Poppermost were recorded in the evening, where Ed, Kit and myself chatted about January and February of 1963. That’s the shows for the next two months recorded then. The next recording was arranged for us as well. Who knows, I might speak more in that episode, lol. The quick succession of the episodes that have been recorded so far is so that we can catch up and become a monthly podcast releasing episodes on the anniversary of the charts that we’re talking about.  So, the idea is that once the December episode is released, then the episode where we speak about January 1963 will come out in January 2023, February 1963 in February 2023, March 1963 in March 2023, and so on.  I also suggested the i

The ‘casts - (Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember) 12 Ghosts - (0:27) episode 4: December 17 2022: La Bruja del Desierto “A metaphysical twist; a poor Christmas; a witch who preys on discontent. Featuring the voices of Malcolm McDowell, Gina Rickicki, and Laura Lorena Morales. Written by Chris Alonzo.”  The Gerry Anderson Podcast - (1:40) pod 237: December 26 2022: intro. Chat. The release date of this episode, on which I am listening to it, is also the 10th anniversary of the passing of great Manning cells. Jamie asks people if they can post memories to do with Gerry Anderson, and I suppose my overall memory of Gerry Anderson is probably of my watching stingray first, in reruns, and just being in awe of it all. I didn’t even realise at that time that they were marionettes, because I was taken in by all of it. Fab fact - UFO guest star stranger fact. Listener’s feedback. News. Listener’s feedback. Interview - the second part of Jamie’s chat with Genevieve Gaunt. Gene

The ‘casts - (Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember) 12 Ghosts - (0:26) episode 3: December 16 2022: The Mirror “A little sprig of mistletoe; a farewell written in acid; a tireless search for the coldest of comforts. Featuring the voices of Malcolm McDowell, Gina Rickicki, and Nicholas Tecosky. Written by Steven Williams.”  The Lost Christmas Podcast - (0:29) November 19 2022: The movie recommendation is The Family Man. TV recommendation is Alfred Hitchcock presents Back For Christmas. Book recommendation is Nicholas Saint North and the battle of the Nightmare King. After this Geoff then goes into the main topic which is Saint Nicholas of Myra. Patron saint of so much! Have I got the episodes mixed up, because following this is part two of the section in The lost Years of Santa Claus about how people on earth know him under different names. Part one was two episodes ago in my listening. Anyway, still a bloody great show! Bring on the book’s release.  Daily Dad Jokes -
