Time off - Tues and Wed 4 to 5 March 2025
The journey home on Tuesday morning was interesting. Me and the lady on the train talked a fair bit, with me not having my book to read.
She is having trouble with very noisy neighbours, and so do we at times. The young guy from the previous week, who was reading the script for Sweet Charity had done the run of performances, and it went really well. He was now preparing for a show in London, but I can’t remember which theatre it was going to be at, or what the show was.
We watched a fair number of episode of Not Going Out - season 8 episodes 6 (Marriage Guidance, 7 (Enough), and 8 (The True Meaning of Christmas), season 9 episodes 1 (Home Improvements), 2 (Escape Room), 3 (Stolen), 4 (Pets), 5 (Pants On Fire), 6 (Lollipop Man), 7 (Bust Up), and 8 (Ding Dong Merrily On Live), and season 10 episode 1 (Parachute).
We watched the latest episode of Gogglebox.
Recorded a fun episode of Pods Like Us, where I got to chat with Kev and Randy from Seaside Pod Review, a podcast that looks at my favourite band of all time, Queen.
Also on Tuesday an episode of When They Was Fab was recorded with Ed where we spoke about the first of a ten disc set of songs that George Harrison had guested on as a musician.
We went into town on Wednesday afternoon, too late for anywhere I wanted to go to of course. That’s how compromise works.
I really wanted to visit Richie at Ground Zero Comics, but we didn’t have the time based around where Louise needed to go for things that she needed, and how late we got into town.
Finally watching the Echo series, starting with episodes one and two. I didn’t know whether I needed to watch them before watching Daredevil Born Again, so decided that I better had so that I can get onto the latter series before it gets spoiled too much by the podcasts that I listen to!
The journey back to work on Thursday was possibly better than usual. I [have] managed to get public transport in good enough time to [hopefully] get to work before my 7pm start time.
[I am writing this bit about the transport to work as I am actually on the way there.]
