New Podcasts - 21 February 2026: *Pod, Actually - Pod, Actually is a podcast about people's favorite podcasts. It's not about podcast hosts. It's about listeners - the loyal, the curious, the mildly obsessed — and the shows they love. Each episode begins with one simple question: What's your favorite podcast, and why? From there, the conversation turns to passion, ritual, comfort listening, and the occasional guilty pleasures we save for when no one else is in the car. / Pod, Actually explores the habits we build, the trust we extend, and the voices we let into our daily lives: the ones we cook with, commute with, and sometimes know better than our neighbors. Because this show isn't really about podcasts. It's about taste. Attachment. / Identity. And what it says about us that a stranger's voice in our earbuds can feel like home.

The Atlas Obscura Podcast - 7 October 2021: Seashell Shrines and Bones with the Places Team - Places editors Jonathan and Michele are back again with a few new standout entries to the Atlas ... including ancient ossuaries and a shrine covered in shells that's far from the sea.

Pod, Actually - 18 February 2026: Wil APG (Airline Pilot Guy) - Today on Pod, Actually, Wil takes us somewhere unexpected: the cockpit. / His favorite podcast is Airline Pilot Guy, a show that blends aviation nerdery, technical deep dives, listener mail, and a whole lot of camaraderie. And yes, even if you've never set foot on a plane (other than 23B, middle seat), this one might surprise you. / Wil talks about:

• Why expertise is attractive (even when you don't understand every word).

• The comfort of ritual and recurring segments.

• How niche podcasts build deeply loyal communities.

• And what it feels like to love a show that most of your friends have never heard of.

It's an episode about obsession, professionalism, and the quiet thrill of listening to people who really know what they're talking about. / Because sometimes your favorite podcast isn't the buzziest. It's the one that feels like home at 30,000 feet. [The finger click sound every time they go from one question to another is really irritating (just like Siri dictation a lot of the time). Otherwise, I think this is a superb show. It’s very similar to a one off series of episodes I’ve done for Pods Like Us where I had short episodes speaking with people in detail about a specific show that they love. Well done to the people behind this.]
