Chicken Shop Date - [YouTube] unknown date: I’m not one that usually does video podcasts or YouTube television shows (the latter of which I would call this), so I didn’t pay attention to the release date or whatever. The host Amelia Degoldenberg spoke with Sir Paul McCartney mainly because he’s promoting his new album The Boys of Dungeon Lane. His reaction to the drug question was hilariously funny - “we’ll talk later.” This and the previous show were as research for an episode of the podcast When They Was Fab that I’m a co-host of, that was being recorded later that day.

The group plans to present its framework at Oxford Road's CAO Summit in Los Angeles in July 2026. / New data from Sounds Profitable shows that the most engaged AM/FM radio listeners and the most engaged podcast listeners have only 1.4% overlap, making them nearly distinct audiences. Tom Webster argues that buying both channels together offers advertisers a level of combined reach that neither medium can deliver alone. / Magellan Al's new global analysis estimates total podcast ad spend reached $3.94 billion in 2025, with non-U.S. markets surging 79% year-over-year in Q1 2026, led by rapid growth in Germany, France, the U.K., and Ireland. / YouTube is moving Al content labels to more prominent positions, appearing directly below long-form videos and as overlays on Shorts, with automatic detection rolling out for content creators who do not self-disclose. / Canada's broadcast regulator, the CRTC, has expanded its digital media contribution framework, raising the required revenue contribution from foreign streaming and audio services including Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify from 5% to 15%.

It hit its stretch goal of $60,000 in less than 24 hours; at the time of writing, it's just hit $100,000. (The website also has a yearly report card - huh, there's an idea.) / Some of SiriusM's biggest podcasts are to be streamed on Tubi, including Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, Rotten Mango and What Now? with Trevor Noah. These shows also stream on YouTube, and that won't go away. Advertising sales for video podcasts on Tubi will be shared between Tubi and SiriusXM Media. / Podcast website company Podpage wants to help your podcast get found - so it's launched an Al-powered SEO assistant, to help you tune your podcast's titles and descriptions for better results in search engines. It can even be set to run automatically.

New Heights is working with OluKai to bring "a football-inspired design lens to a premium leather silhouette with all-star appeal" (or, what the Australians call a decent pair of thongs). We're told that the $160 shoes, called the Mea Ola Nuu, continue the company's tradition, merging premium materials with personality-driven design. And, of course you can buy them on Amazon. / In Q1/26,14% of Americans say they have used Netflix to consume a podcast; and 4% said they use Tubi. The data, from Edison Research Podcast Metrics US, will only increase - Tubi announced a slew of new content this week including shows from SiriusXM and Audiochuck, while Netflix's The Rest is Football is being heavily promoted ahead of the World Cup. / The Edison Research Podcast Consumer 2026 was released in a webinar. The data shows that a majority of podcast consumers think that Al is a threat to the credibility, creativity and quality of podcasts; and 75% disapprove of a voice hosted by Al.
