Saturday December the 19th 2020

Now I’m writing this on Tuesday, and I’m not sure what I remember about Saturday...

I do know that I was busy doing two sets of mobiles because of problems at work.

My podcast listening -

1 This Week In Marvel - catching up!

2 The Ray Harryhausen Podcast - with so many podcasts now in my feed, I couldn’t see that there were new episodes for some shows, and this was one of those!

3 The Gerry Anderson Podcast - another that I was behind on!

4 Reelblend - it’s strange to listen to a show that is talking about films coming to the cinema, when they’re all closed over here, with no sign of any change to that soon!

5 The Calm Christmas Podcast - continuing to catch up on this sweet bite size podcast from author Beth Kempton.

6 Adam & Craig’s Guilty Pleasure Cinema - talking about the Kevin Bacon & Fred Ward starring 1990 film Tremors about worm type animals killing people. I’ve seen it once, but obviously remember very little.

Sunday December the 20th 2020

Sunday, and I was still having trouble putting the Christmas films episode of Pods Like Us together, because my laptop was still switching off constantly.

I may have got to the end of the episode itself (pre-music), but was losing footage with each unannounced switch off!

I need to buy a NEW laptop, but that’s expensive if I want something that will handle all of this stuff.

Sunday night shift.

Happily was just doing the one mobile job, and in fact I shouldn’t be posting that in my blog, but what the hey. I’m getting more and more pissed off as the Covid restrictions carry on, that I really don’t give a shit...

Well I say that, but later I’ll regret it all!  That’s the outcome of less than two hours sleep!

Sunday’s shift was busy, but that is sort of a good thing I suppose.

2 The Gerry Anderson Podcast - caught up, woohoo...  Until the next day when another one appeared!

3 Robby The Robot’s Waiting - continuing catching up with a show I discovered fairly recently hosted by Dave Bradley & Rich Edwards, who have both been editors for SFX, my favourite magazine, which I’ve read every issue of since issue one, which featured Lori Petty from Tank Girl!

4 The Pod Directive - first episode of a new podcast, which is an official Star Trek show.

5 When They Was Fab - Ed & Ethan discussing the fabulous Travelling Wilburys.

6 Fans On The Run - Ethan talking with Darren DeVivo from Things We Said Today.

7 Christmas Past - this time Brian Earl explained the history of snow globes, which were originally meant to be a aid for operations in hospitals, but didn’t turn out to be!

8 The Calm Christmas Podcast - more catching up with Beth’s show!
