Friday June the 25th, 2021 -

The Blurb

Woke up at about a quarter to two in the afternoon after getting to sleep after 9am.

Mad dash around the supermarket for some bits before leaving for work for a five start.

A couple of times in the shift I and Andy had to take turns at parking up and being static in the van for a little while at a site somewhere that was just for the night as a one off.

The ‘casts -

Binge Bros - (0:52) June 25 2021Natty & Joey. What’s going on, Sexy Beasts series on Netflix, Loki episode three responses. Joey responds to seeing Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire.

Court Case - (0:47) #30 June 18 2021James & Sweet Tee continue their road trip, with this episode at the Brighton Pavillion. Someone asking friends to pay to go to a birthday party. Weird names. I agree with James & T that there shouldn’t be a difference in pay according to age, because everyone still has to pay out the same money for the cost of living. Masturbation is laziness, a cause of Barrack Obama becoming President… What the f***?!?! While talking about a bridezilla, I wondered if James & T would want their wedding videocasting?

Lost & Found & Rewound - (0:47) episode 1.9> : Chris, Jim & Rick are looking at the 1971 film They Might Be Giants. Films mentioned in passing - Harvey, Harold & Maude, The Last Detail…

Spyhards - (1:35) ep17 December 1 2021: Cam & Scott are joined by guest Janine (Cam’s sister) to discuss the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, starring Pierce Brosnan. The original character names - oh dear! Scott asks if David Arnold had anything to do with Sheryl Crow’s theme song. The answer is no… David Arnold actually wrote a theme with KD Lang that is in the closing credits, and I think he was miffed about it not being picked as the main theme, meaning that the KD Lang song was basically forgotten and not heard, as most had left the cinema by that time! I’ll give Scott, Cam & Janine a hot take - lose the Paris Carver character, the forced relationship with Wey Lin, and expand on the Wey Lin character’s presence, making it about two spies working together on the same mission and nothing else?

Comicbook Nation - (1:08) June 25 2021Reactions to the new second Shang Chi trailer. Reactions to the third episode of Loki. The future of the Transformers franchise. Trailer for new Halloween film. Kofi talks about the new Fast & The Furious film. WitcherCon. Games. iCarly. Comics. This episode’s #comicbooksgottalent is Janell proving her worth as a tiptop poet!

Mission Log - (1:05) episode 64 June 14 2021: John & Norman chat with the great Armin Shimerman. Rehearsals. The root beer scene. Great behind the scenes anecdotes and details. Explanation of the PanCan which is a charity Armin, his wife Kitty, and Jonathan Frakes are involved with - https://www.pancan.org … They finish the chat by discussing Armin’s books, including the fact that he DIDN’T write the book The 34th Rule, but instead he and his friend David had taken an idea they originally came up with for an episode story and charted out a full story, which then David wrote a full book from. The trilogy of books The Merchant Prince written while working on Deep Space Nine, plus the Elyria stories.

Adam & Craig’s Guilty Pleasure Cinema - (1:19) May 18 2021: Adam and Craig looking at the John Woo directed film Face Off, starring Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Originally they were going to cast Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger as opposed to Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Bloody hell, the second show to mention Harold & Maude in tonight’s listening! The Face Off song after the show is so good. 😂

Digging Deep with Robert Plant - (0:21) S4E3 House Of Cards: Matt Everett chats with Robert about not being able to go around the world over lockdown, and other subjects before looking into the song House Of Cards, written by Richard & Linda Thompson, that Robert covered with Band Of Joy.

End of shift iTunes shuffle tunes.
Bloody great choices!
