The Blurb

I think that  I got back from work at about 6am after the Friday night shift.

Trouble dropping off again, falling asleep after nine in the afternoon, and waking up at about two.

I got to work at about 4:40pm for a five start, and was out of the office for just after five, after Ken had brought the mobile van for this shift back so that I could get on.

Steady shift that I just got on with.  245 miles driven in the shift.

Got home after work for about half past five in the morning.

I may have got to bed for just after six, but it took until after eight to drop off.

The ‘casts -

Something For Nothing - (0:45)Steve & Gerry look at side one of the self titled debut album by Rush.

Robby The Robot’s Waiting - (1:29)First episode of season two. News, a deep dive into the first Highlander film, Army Of The Dead, The Nevers, and so very much more. Jack Kirby’s cosmic porridge! New He Man. Fur bondage. Joined by guest Guy Haley, author and former SFX magazine writer/reviewer.

Talk More Talk - (1:57)after the introductions, Ken responds to the previous episode where he wasn’t around and the others Hamm had spoken about Ringo’s album Bad Boy. He had differences with all three of the others. News includes the big news about the Peter Jackson film for the “Get Back” sessions is made up of three two-hour parts. The question about why the film isn’t going to cinemas… essentially a six hour film would take the same time as four films that are an hour and a half. The main subject of the episode is two albums by each of the solo Beatles that were great according to each of the four hosts.

Reelblend - (1:32): Jake Hamilton is off for this episode, so producer Gabe Kocacs is joining Sean O’Connell and Kevin McCarthy for this episode. Gabe’s hair! Twitter poll responses. News. Bo Burnham’s Inside. Justin Lin interview. Interesting chat about the choice between watching a film at the cinema or streaming it when you can do either of those at the same time. Sean’s favourite film of 2020 is the same as mine. Ian McKellen is the. Blendgame.

Tabletop Genesis - (2:00): Mike, Stacy, Ellie, Simon & Tom are looking at the classic Genesis album Foxtrot. I do love the fact that Mike and Ellie, and Simon and Stacey, are married. Couples that both absolutely love a band. That’s great.

The Queenpod - (0:18): mini episode on the song Killer Queen. Ro, Suze, John & Simon.
