The Blurb -

So after getting to sleep late (around 4:30am), I had to get up at 7:30 to take the Clio for it’s MOT, so had breakfast, coffee, and a bit longer than intended to go out - I went out at nine instead of the originally planned 8am - tired AF!

Whilst watching the BBC Breakfast News, I noticed that one of the experts in a news article was a guy from the great podcast The Naked Scientists! Trust me to notice that - “podcast here,” “podcast there…”

The car has gone in for the MOT. Fingers crossed. That’s suicide watch right there, because I just can’t handle another disaster on top of the rest of the shit we’re going through at the moment.

I had left the car at Sherwood Motors for it’s MOT at around 9:15am, walked back home, and at around half past twelve I went back to bed for a few hours, as I had a really bad sleep.

I woke at around 3:45pm, received a phone call from Steve at Sherwood Motors with news about the MOT.

It’s not hit me well.

There’s a relatively easy and inexpensive job to get it through the MOT, but the ECU problem that I have can now not be sorted, as the replacement has now been discontinued, and to use a second hand one would need to include the ignition connection, keys, and the ECU to fusebox connection from another car as well, as they are coded to the specific individual car itself.

The oil cap has gone as well, which I’m guessing is from me trying to get the car to go when the thing wouldn’t start because of the ECU trouble. That exact oil cap has been discontinued as well!

How am I feeling about this? I’m having trouble just wanting to stay alive now because of all of this shit.

Life gives me no breaks!

You ask why I’m so questioning of religion and all of these people who do the “everything is cool” talks - because it’s all a load of bullshit! Why should I believe this crap when if God does exist then he lets these things happen to people - he lets innocent people be killed, he allows genocide, he lets things happen to children. “These things happen as they must happen…” - A cop out!

Work from 7pm until 7:30am.

Keeping Up With The Cardassians - (1:18) episode 42: September 20th 2021: starts incredibly quiet. The music needs to stop, because I couldn’t hear them properly in my right hands free earpiece. Nick sings less than three minutes in. “Pixie sticks are the gateway to serious sweets!” They then announced two new podcasts being brought into the Oddpods media group, that they are a part of themselves. Recording on Batman Day. They debate the Batman costumes over the years. They chat about the Hawkeye trailer. Mistakes being made by the three hosts. Talk about t-shirts. Does this spell a future section in the show about fashion? They could actually include a section about the fashions in the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episodes that they look at? How deep can your V-neck go? After this to go into a discussion about the passing of Norm Macdonald. Should I know who he is? Cult talk? My controversial opinion - is Christianity basically a cult that has millions of followers? No “Toy Time with Joe” this week! After saying that they actually did have a Toy Time with Joe section. After ads for two podcasts, they then went into discussing the first episode this week, Sons Of Mogh, featuring the great Tony Todd as Worf’s brother Kurn. 49:20 - Nick’s audition for the Village People. Would he be the Native American, construction worker, police officer, military, biker, or cowboy? Dr Rob section? The episode is a way for the creators of the show to look at the subject of euthanasia. The second of the two episodes this time is Bar Association.

We Were On a Break - (0:33) episode 30: February 17th 2021: hmm, cat talk. Updates. Valentine’s Day talk. This episode they are playing a game called love language. They’re all relationship based questions and scenarios. #IAmNotACat

Binge Bros - (0:47) September 22nd 2021: Natty & Joey. Denis Villeneuve said that Marvel movies are “cut and paste films.” Reactions to Ted Lasso season two episode nine. Talk of the Amazon Prime film The Tomorrow War, starring Chris Pratt. Apparently the daughter of Chris Pratt’s character is named Miri - I wonder if that’s a nod to Star Trek?

The Bright Sessions - (0:14) episode 3: November 15th 2015: Dr Bright’s patient this time is Chloe Turner, who is also the daughter of the Doctor’s first “atypical” patient. Chloe hears the voices of the angels. Ooh, that’s an interesting twist at the end that I didn’t see!

The Corona Diaries - (1:19) chapter 73: September 20th 2021: H has had a haircut. “You don’t want ‘em south!” Self-circumcision. The theft of the gold toilet from Blenheim Palace.  Christmas concert has been arranged on Saturday 18th of December. “Once in Royal Davids City…” listener’s feedback. Hungarian composer. Songs unrecorded - Victorian Station & QI.  They’re now talking in depth about the album Radiation. Racket Club Online. Change of management. Incandescent emails. Diary - Afraid Of Sunlight tour. Warsaw. Free As A Bird by The Beatles on the radio (“it sounds like ELO doing an impression of The Beatles doing ELO. I wonder if Jeff Lynne produced it?”) The space heaters. Stockings, bum notes, and dropped flight cases. H invents pole dancing? Krakow. “Are you Marillion?” “No, I’m freezing!” Plane to Frankfurt. Follow up questions. Deckchairs or igloos?

The Gerry Anderson Podcast - (1:33) intro. Jamie Anderson, Richard James, and Chris Dale. Jamie’s new puppy - miniature dachshund named Winnie. Chat. Jamie has a small problem! Fab fact (read out by Richard) is a script writing fact. Listener’s feedback. So much news - I hope I remember about the Thunderbirds notebook. UFO 2 Space 1999 documentary by Chris Dale on YouTube. Part three of the chat with Lindsay & Justin Lee. “Angry Hood.” Star Wars connection. Gazelle Automations. Part four of the interview next time. Banter. More listener’s feedback. William Shatner is a fan of Space 1999. #Lovejoy1999 Randomiser - Torchy’s Birthday from Torchy The Battery Boy. “The biggest surprise in topsy turvy land.” “Call me King Clever.” Banter. Outro. Post show banter almost spoils a possible surprise.
