The 15 Minute Podcast - (0:15) episode 16: April 12 2022: Eric doesn’t believe in “soul mates”. He’s talking from a statistical and scientific point of view. My response - yes there is a whole scientific side to it all, but looking at it that way is to just look at things from a matter of fact point. It does take work to keep a relationship of any sort going, but to look at it as work would potentially lose the fun element. I hate work. It’s a disgusting word to me, that I associate with something that I spend around 70 hours a week away from home for. “People who believe in soul mates are inclined to be more depressive.” I think couples need to acknowledge that they are their own people while being in a relationship - an interdependence. Okay, I see where he comes from saying that people in couples can crime soul mates.
