Keeping Up With The Cardassians - (1:40) episode 98: October 24 2022: finally I’m back to listening to this great show that’s all about Star Trek deep Space Nine. Well, at least at this point is still was. Nick, Rob and Joe presenting as ever. Nick singing the podcast theme tune. Singing from Singin’ In The Rain. Back to discussing beating up five year old children. What’s the biggest animal you could kill with your bare hands. Sound of music nod. Rob loves dicks. Screenrant list of the “twenty best sitcoms from the nineties” discussion. Seinfeld at one! A break without an advertisement. Blaspheming or humour. Black Adam. Voicemail message from a listener. This question brings about the guys discussing what show they’re going to after finishing with DS9. “I hear you Annette, but I don’t care.” BREAK again without any advertisement. First episode of Deep Space Nine they’re looking at is When It Rains. “Blinded by the light.” Gul Dukat and Kai Winn. Kira “looks good in the uniform.” “So the Cardassians become the Bajorans.” Genocide. Joe believes that there should be no rules in war. The second episode they are looking at is Tacking Into The Wind. Ooh, nasty Nick! Worf/Gowron/Martok discussion. Trump versus Biden in a physical fight discussion.

Tabletop Genesis - (2:03) episode 54: January 30 2023: Mike and Tom are joined by Stacey to look at the Phil Collins album “Hello, I Must Be Going!” It’s Phil’s second solo album. Has Tom got a cold? I too am surprised that the song through these walls was released as a single. I actually didn’t realise that there were any singles other than You Can’t Hurry Love from this album until I looked it up. Mike questions a live video of I Don’t Care Anymore. “What a divorce sounds like.” Me says that he thinks the album is better written than Face Value. My take is that it would be better without the Supremes cover version, You Can’t Hurry Love, which feels out of place with the rest. I would call it a perfect album if that was removed. Song one is I Don’t Care Anymore. “Ooh, he’s an angry Phil!” This is a very quiet show through an earpiece. Second song is I Cannot Believe It’s True. Very Motown sounding to me. Song three is Like China. “The oddest guitar solo.” A listener asked a question about it. Song four is Do You Know Do You Care. “A sibling to I Don’t Care Anymore.” It’s got a special mood to it. A high rise vocal on the last “care” of the song. Song five is You Can’t Hurry Love. A cover version of the song by The Supremes. Peter Robinson on piano, and not Phil. Now time for listener feedback. The theme of water from the listeners? song six is It Don’t Matter To Me. Song seven is through these walls, the song that I selected as my favourite from the album. God dammit, this bloody traffic! #RoadRageFromMe “creepy Phil” “oh yeah.” Song eight is don’t let them steal your heart away. A very heartfelt song that has so much emotion. song nine is the instrumental Westside. I can hear a fairy brand X field to this song. A night time in like snow feel to it according to Mike. song tan is why can’t it wait till morning. I actually can’t believe Double until these guys posted that they were talking about this album I hadn’t listened to it in so many years, and almost shrugged it off. It is a great album. Now the day I’ve gone through all of the songs, it’s time for them to pick their favourite. After this they look at the songs that the listeners chose, as Tom shows us his pole. No robe and lingerie, please. plug for Stacys show no word music. Mike’s VoiceOver at the end of the show is actually louder than everybody’s voices during the entire show itself. That’s not a moan by the way, but just something that I noticed. Message to the guys about something that’s mentioned post credits so to speak - I think that Separate Lives was actually written by Stephen Bishop? [Does a quick web search when he gets home] Yes, it was written by Stephen.
