Face The Music: An Electric Light Orchestra Song By Song Podcast - (0:15) episode-079: April 22 2023: the Eric’s look at the song (The) Disturbance by The Move. “What’s that song all about?” Who the members of the band were. Great description of the song, and I like how EP J mentions that the song grew on him. And look at the character is in the song. Thought from Troy. A song about mental illness.

Create Magic - (0:08) Episode 288: January 20 2023: Whistling Past The Graveyard “A little Friday ramble about creative life cycles and whistling past the graveyard. I hope y'all have the best weekend!” It’s funny because I’ve not thought about this in decades, but when Todd talks about his great magazine release, it reminds me of the school newsletter I used to be the editor of. It included satire about the teachers, especially the school principal, who was taking advantage of the kids shall we say. I have a vague memory of my attempt at drawing two generic people, one with glasses like the principal, and a shorter person, with a speech bubble from the principal saying “you know you’re my favourite.” How on earth the authorities missed that, I don’t know! I’m not sure I should have admitted that in this blog post?”
Walking Tall - (0:58) 22 February 2023: Introducing the Walking Tall Movement “The Walking Tall Movement was created by two separate mass shooting survivors and heroes from their events, and a world-renowned mental health doctor who all joined forces to share their own stories of adversity and strength, and then how they learned how to Walk Tall after being knocked down. This episode introduces you to all three Hosts and introduces their individual reasons for joining forces from separate cities across America to help others in need learn how to Walk Tall again one day.” Chris Maliszewski, Dr. Vanetta LaRosa, and Todd Blyleven. A great introduction to the show that says everything that you need to know. A unique yet incredibly perfect trio for a show like this - two survivors and one doctor of psychology look at people who have gone through traumatic events, to discuss the way that these people have been able to get through it all, and walk tall.

Bitches With Beards - (0:59) Episode 1: 15 February 2023: “It’s our premier episode and we’re straight(ish) out of the gate with the hard hitting topics. Max explains why it’s as if he never said goodbye, mainly because he spends ten minutes discussing his latest theater trip. Finally getting a word in edgeways Daniel asks the question, can the winner take it all if they’re not in the room. Then together they take on the one subject that can get them canceled before they’ve even begun. Cheers!” This is a really quiet show. I’m sorry that I haven’t made that many notes, but they do talk about a lot of subjects. The conversation about the tour of ABBA from last year it’s fascinating. Is it the future of touring they say... That is a very interesting conversation right there! It is even more interesting given the whole question of the use of AI to make singers who never sung songs actually sing them in a way, or to D age singers of songs. There is also the question of AI in other forms of media. if the future of live concerts is this, then aren’t you essentially just listening to the record that you’ve paid £10 for, but in this case you’ve paid £150 per ticket to go much holograms at the front of a stage doing songs from record? The debate over the new Harry Potter game, where people are being nasty to those who bought the game because they see it as being on the side of the author J. K. Rowling, who is allegedly Aunty LGBTQ plus. I’m not going to know what any of those things Menden they’re on about at the end! #Old #LoveYourself
TEDx Shorts - (0:07) 22 January 2022: How stigma shaped modern medicine “In the 1940s, cancer was a condition shrouded in fear and denial, rarely discussed in public. Now there's a healthy public discourse and billions of dollars in research funding dedicated to it. In this talk, writer and microbiologist Dr. Nathalia Holt describes how a landmark 1940s PR campaign helped prompt that paradigm shift.”
