He is at the moment, writing a book about Bruce Willis, under the title unbreakable, which, of course, I will also get, and I’m really looking forward to, because Sean does a deep dive on all 115 films, and all of the television series, that Bruce has been in. Glass Houses: A Billy Joel Podcast - (1:10) episode 082: 28 March 2023: Michael and Jack look at the 1976 album Turnstiles. Starts with a nice clip of Billy talking about the background of the album, when Billy was managed at the time by his ex-wife Elizabeth. It’s an album about how New York was having a bad time at the time. It flopped, and was eclipsed by the 1977 classic The Stranger. Michael has so many different versions of this album! The building of what would be his brand for all of the releases open till the bridge I think? Recorded the entire album with Elton John‘s backing band, then dumped that entire album, and re-recorded it with this band known known as lords of 52nd Street. The shortest album by Billy with only eight songs. Clip of Billy reacting to the audience at a concert when it was certified gold in May 1980. Burt Bacharach trying to be Tom Waits. Taxi. One else came out this year? A day at the races by Queen, songs in the Key of life by Stevie Wonder, 2112 by Rush, New World Record by ELO, self, titled debut album by Boston, and so many more. Now onto the songs. Say Goodbye To Hollywood. Summer Island Falls. All You Wanna Do Is Dance. New York State of mind, which has three different versions with a different saxophone solo on each. First song on side two is James. Angry Young Man. I’ve Loved These Days. Miami 2017.

I had to listen to this album
after the podcast, of course.
