Time off not Christmassy
What’s Goin’ On? (What happened) -
Work is on Christmas hours, as the office are closed until January 2nd, so the hours of mobile are all over the place.
I’d started my Monday night shift at five in the evening, and finished at five in the morning. I got home on Tuesday morning for around 6 in the morning, when I was in bed for seven and awake at about half past eleven.
Mid afternoon saw me and Louise going to my mum’s old flat to do some clearing up of her bits. We were there for about seven hours and barely touched the surface seemingly. Louise was feeling sick as well, but we had to soldier on.
We got back in for about eleven o’clock in the night, when I finally got something to eat, having not had anything since breakfast at half past eleven that morning.
At half past midnight myself, Ed and Kit recording for the February episodes of Toppermost of the Poppermost, until 3:30 in the morning, leaving us to record some more on Wednesday afternoon my time. Wednesday afternoon also saw me and Ed carrying on then with recording a couple of episodes of When They Was Fab, before I went back to my mum’s old flat to finish off.
While recording with Ed and Kit we mentioned Louis Armstrong, which made me think of the great friendship he had with Miles Davis. |
Did I get everything of my mum’s? No, because I literally got fed up and also started worrying about being evicted for having all of mum’s things cluttering up our house.
Could that happen? Yes, because that’s the real reason why we had to move at the end of 2021. We were thrown out of the flat/apartment in Newark because they told us that we were causing damp issues with all of the stuff that we had.
I postponed an episode recording for Pods Like Us that had been arranged for a while, because I was just too tired at midnight to do it. Now I’m pissed off because that’s screwed the scheduling up. I now have to wait until February to chat with that guest.
If any of my three other brothers had done anything then that would have been great, but they didn’t. Way to f***ing go, fam!
One nice thing was DJ Skoob from Undiscovered Entrepreneur editing episode one of Pods Like Us season eight, my chat with Nicholas Tecosky. That’s a bloody great episode if I do say so myself. His tips and anecdotes are fantastic for anyone!
