Time off

Week one (Tues-Wed 30-31 July 2024) -

We  watched the National Geographic documentary Saved From A Shark.

Myself and Ed recorded two episodes of WTWF.

We watched Grey’s Anatomy season 6 episodes 2 and 3. 🏥

On one of the nights Louise made a delicious Salmon En Crute, which is one of her homemade dishes that I absolutely love, and I actually asked for.

We watched the film The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron.

We watched the film Carry On Camping. 🏕️

I hopefully started writing a song with Cindy Prince and Paul Hudson.

Week two (Tues-Wed 6-7 Aug 2024) -

Curtains put up in the office/spare room

We watched an episode of the show Cooking With The Stars on ITVx.

The back garden has been
left to be natural and wild.

We watched the 2022 film Elvis starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. Directed by Baz Luhrman. I’m sick of the fact that even after paying for Amazon Prime we get adverts. Oh well, it’s like normal television I suppose.

I recorded an episode of Pods Like Us with the guests Ace and Champ from Stellar Future Radio.

Curtains put up in the back
bedroom/office space.

We watched the 1953 film Trouble In Store, starring Norman Wisdom and Margaret Rutherford. It also featured a young 23 year old Joan Sims.

On Thursday, before my night shift, we watched some of the 16 minute special episodes of The Pioneer Woman, a show from Food Network with the cook Ree Drummond.

The ‘casts (second time off) -

(Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember

(Changed tactic now where starred dialogue denotes quoting from the show’s own notes

Naked Scientists In Short - 26 April 2021: *Ancient DNA extracted from cave dirt - When they're trying to piece together our understanding of ancient Humans and Neanderthals, scientists often have to rely on artifacts found in caves. What scientists wish they had more of was ancient DNA, which would allow them to study how the populations of these groups changed and expanded over time. Now that's about to change thanks to Benjamin Vernot at the Max Planck Institute, as he explained to Eva Higginbotham.
