The ‘casts -

(Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember

(Changed tactic now where starred dialogue denotes quoting from the show’s own notes)

Go With Elmo - January 2025: Elmo chats with the amazing Nathan East, bassist to the stars. This guy has played bass for Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Barry White, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk, Randy Newman, George Benson, and so many more. As a member of the instrumental jazz quartet Four Play, he has four platinum selling albums out of their eighteen in total. He’s played on more than 2000 recordings since the age of sixteen, and is now 69 years of age, but has the energy and look  of a man half his age!

Composer’s Datebook - 22 February 2025: Melinda Wagner's Trombone Concerto

Merriam Webster’s Word of the Day - 22 February 2025: astute

Comicbook Nation - season 7 episode 8: 21 February 2025: first off, best wishes to Matt, who they announced at the taken to emergency care at the hospital, but also to Kofi’s partner, who is on the way to the emergency room as well. It’s just Kofi and Janell holding down presentation duties this time. First up is a discussion about the changes in the James Bond franchise, where Ian films have decided to have a lesser role in the future in the making of James Bond films, giving Amazon full autonomy, basically in what happens in the future. Next up is the photo of James Gunn posting up a photo of himself with his friend Zach Snyder. This has probably got something to do with the fact of people seeing it as the new guardian of DC films with the previous guardian of DC filmed. It could just be two friends spending some time together, you know? I know that’s naive, and is probably more likely to be what Kofi sees it as - “James Gunn politicking.” This is followed by the Osgood Perkins directed film titled The Monkey. The film Longlegs is available to stream. Reacher season three. The finale of your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man animated series. Invincible season three continues. Ultimate Wolverine comic. Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary talk.

Podnews Daily - 20 February 2025: *Podcasts have more ads than ever [Apple Podcasts offline on March 1st from 6am PST for up to eight hours. That will be from 2pm until 10pm for me next Saturday, so I might take the opportunity to listen to no podcasts that night? Not sure yet. I miss music!]

And The Podcast Will Rock - episode 1: 5 November 2021: finally I’m listening to this. IT will take me fricking ages to get up to date on this for sure. Presented by Mark Comire and Corey Morisette. Introduction to the hosts first. My personal introduction to Van Halen was the same as Corey’s with the song Jump in the U.K. singles charts I suppose. The idea behind the show is a wheel that will choose a random song each week. The first episode though sees them starting with the opening song from their self-titles debut album, the killer rocking song Running With The Devil. Message till age, where people shuffle albums, which to me, probably because of my age, is almost blasphemy. Oh well, things change. There was a mistaken alternative mix on the Best of Volume One. Car horns slowed down on intro. In answer to the question of what gear that Eddie used, there is an interview where Eddie says, or said that all the ever used was guitar and an amplifier, with no effects pedals whatsoever. A guitar solo that serves the song, and tells everybody that this guitarist is amazing!

Stew World Order - Episode 125: 2 February 2025: Anthony from we have issues joins stew to talk about the infamous film. Roger Coleman’s fantastic four, which I heard was made so that fox didn’t lose the copyright for that property. I think I should go onto YouTube and watch the whole film, and find out if it is as bad or worse, or perhaps better, then I have heard it is?

The Tom Petty Project - season 9 episode 6: 29 November 2023: intro. Listener feedback about the previous song Two Gunslingers. After this Kevin looks at the song for this week, The Dark Of The Sun. Very similar intro to the song Kings Highway. Kev mentions the Beatles’ cover of Words of Love being similar to Mike Campbell’s guitar solo on this song. Pause for trivia. My guess for this episode’s isn’t a guess as I actually know the answer, because I own the album. Back to the song. It could be a continuation of the previous song, Two Gunslingers.
