Seaside Pod Review - episode 42: 24 August 2023: “looks like you’ve had a pig shave!” The intro over the music is done by Kev for a change. Randy is held up in a boutique hotel in Winnipeg. He was able to hear Cheap Trick playing from his hotel room. Kev rebuilt his back step. After the catch up chat, they get on with the show. Listener’s feedback on the previous episode’s song, which was Let Me Live from Made In Heaven. “Lacrosse Talk” idea mention. There is only so much oil in the ground. The world’s smallest violin. After the discussion they go onto the week’s random song, which is A Kind of Magic from the album of the same name. Quick break for them to do some research with a good meaning advertisement. A Kind Of Magic written by Roger Taylor. Roger played a three part harmony on Brian’s guitar. Written for Highlander, and then repurposed by Freddie and John. Finger clicks by Chris Rea? John Deacon’s bass leads the song. Ladies and gentlemen, the Fender Precision bass guitar. “More soup and bread.” To me, A Kind Of Magic is an absolute champion. And now, the ending is by Kev again, just like the intro. I wonder if it’s because Randy is away?

Rock n Roll Book and Documentary Reviews - 31 December 2022: in this first episode of the show, Big Rick looks at the book The Lyrics by Paul McCartney. Firstvup we get the history of the book, as in where the idea first came about, and the influence of Paul Muldoon. After this we get the rating. After the rating, Rick looks at how this book could be interesting to fans and non-fans of Paul McCartney, or putting a better way, that I’ve just messed up, is it good for either of those? After this, Rick, Ben goes into an off the wall question, which is the thing for every episode of ahead apparently, but in this case it is, what band could Paul McCartney have joined after the Beatles split up. Is an interesting question, because of the different sides to Paul McCartney, asa musical artist. I think the experimental side of Paul might have brought him towards something along the lines of Pink Floyd, or even King Crimson to a degree. The rocking outside of Paul would probably have gone to Led Zeppelin, of which he was a fan. Rick then suggests documentaries to go and watch about Paul McCartney.

First up, Kev tells us about the interview episodes that he has put out recently, and would continue to do so during the month of December 2020 23, as he’s taking a bit of a break from the main episodes. After this, he looks at listener feedback. After the feedback we get onto the song All Or Nothin’, which is a very Mike Campbell guitar led song (that slide guitar is some absolute killer playing). A fifteen bar solo. Break for trivia, with me knowing the answer to the previous question. After the trivia it’s back to the song.
What Came Next… - episode 28: 22 October 2023: *Public Image Ltd The Flowers of Romance - After Public Image Ltd's second album Metal Box (known as Second Edition in the United States) bass player Jah Wobble left.
