Through the night I kept popping onto Greatest Hits Radio to listen to bits of the original Live Aid from exactly 40 years ago that day. I think I have mentioned that I missed almost all of the event itself on that day forty years ago, instead deciding to go into town as a fourteen year old (for another four months) getting away from the horror of the school I’d been sent to (a lot of us were sexually abused by the school principal), and I always regretted making the choice to miss such an important event.
