The ‘casts -

(Notes spoken to Siri, and edited later if I remember

(Changed tactic now where starred dialogue denotes quoting from the show’s own notes

The Rest is History - my iPhone had an update, and in with that came the very normal loss of my settings and queue in Apple podcasts. After the update, this show appeared on my feet to listen to, so I thought that I would listen to it, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The relationship between the two host of the show was fun, with both of them seeming to enjoy taking the proverbial Michael out of each other. Incredibly informative, and I didn’t realise that there was so much difference between the two places mentioned, Chatham and did they say Richmond or something, but then I wouldn’t because i’ve never been anywhere near either of those places. A fun lesson, that was incredibly well produced, by a professional corporate production team.

Two Thousand And Late - season 1 episode 3: 15 September 2025: *STEP TWO: STEP TWO: START A NEW JOB. Struggle with setting a combination for your locker, make a lukewarm ally, and, no matter what, do NOT talk about unions. Oh, also, be sure to avoid your girlfriend as much as possible. [writer, director, star Lauren Shippen continues to create material that looks at the world, and reflect it in a way through the art of audio drama. Now, I will admit that I’m basing that comment on something that I have seen Lauren herself admit. To be honest though, the Harper/Havoc relationship mirrors in a way the issues that I have to keep in check within myself. Also, when they mention the employment situation, it reminded me of something that we have been through at work recently, that still hasn’t been settled. To go on a slight tangent here, Sam Sethi of TrueFans was right in that more than ninety percent of the population are sharing less than ten percent of money in the world, and less than ten percent have the other ninety percent of money in the world.]

BirdNote Daily - 19 Feb 2023: *Wilson's Phalarope - If any bird is an anomaly, it's the Wilson's Phalarope. In a birdbook, Wilson's Phalaropes are found among the sandpipers. But they forage while swimming. Spinning like tops, they create an upwelling, pulling food to the surface. The breeding of Wilson's Phalaropes is anomalous, too. Females are the brightly colored sex, and courtship roles are reversed: female phalaropes compete for males, and, once they lay eggs, leave all parental duties to the males. In common with many birds, though, Wilson's Phalaropes face conservation challenges.

Star Trek Khan - season 1 episode 1: 8 September 2025: another audio drama that is professionally produced, this time from the people at Realm. I must admit that I think Naveed Andrews is a superb voice actor, and the few audio dramas that I have heard his voice in have given the characters that he plays a lot of gravitas. I also love the fact that they have George Takei and Tim Russ in the cast playing their characters from previous iterations of the Star Trek franchise, Captain Sulu and at the time of this story Ensign Tuvok. I wondered coming into this but it would be, since it is a classic character from the Star Trek franchise. They have picked a very interesting subject here, with it looking at the time on the planet of Ceti Alpha Five, using recordings that were made there at the time. In a way this fills in the space between the original series Star Trek episode Space Speed and the film Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan. A very clever premise, that is wonderfully put together.
