: A Classic Christmas Story by L. Frank Baum - On Christmas Eve, four mischievous imps decide the world has grown far too cheerful.

The source of all that bothersome joy, of course, is Santa Claus himself. So they sneak into his cozy workshop in the Valley of the Laughing Bells and whisk him away. What follows is a struggle between gloom and gladness as Santa's friends rally to rescue him and restore Christmas. It's a fantastical little tale filled with whimsy, gentle suspense, and a reminder that delight often needs defending. / L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) is best remembered as the creator of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its many sequels, but he was also a prolific writer of fairy tales, fantasy stories, and imaginative seasonal fables. He believed that stories should nourish "the child-heart," wherever it lives, in both children and adults. A Kidnapped Santa Claus reflects Baum's signature mix of gentle humor, mythmaking, and moral warmth.

Seaside Pod Review - 25 December 2025: starts with Randy professing his love of Kev, and his dentist trip. Wow, how many shots has Randy had so that he can have his film trip to Zambia? Kev says that he needs to be called something other than “Kev”! I was surprised to find out that Kev was yet again on a Def Leppard podcast. Christmas music discussion that includes Randy saying he’s released a Christmas album himself and other songs. They mention the passing of Chris Rea. Randy has never heard of him. The listeners were asked for 29 songs by artists about Christmas, and then we get them discussing one of those randomly chosen. The song they get is I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard. When Kev mentions which video they’re watching I know which one isn’t is - Top Of The Pops where Roy Wood’s daughter gives him a kiss on the cheek. Quick dad joke thrown in about Lars Ulrich. That is a champion for me. After this they get the song December Will Be Magic Again by Kate Bush. “No sleigh bells, it’s not a Christmas song!” Another champion from me. After this, they go over to Discord to look at some questions that have been left from the listeners. “All art is self-indulgent.”

  Sunday August 10th 2025 -  I got in from the Saturday night shift at twenty past five, and drifted to sleep a little after six in the morning.  A minute or so after ten in the morning, I woke up for the toilet and looked at my phone. I noticed that I had missed phone calls and messages from my aunties Carol and Ann, as well as a fairly recent message from my younger brother James. They were all asking me to contact them.  I had a feeling that I knew what it was, but I didn’t want to believe it. I messaged my younger brother James, who then rang to tell me that Mum had passed away sometime around 7:30 in the morning.  I messaged someone at work about it, who let a Director know.
