Up at 6:30, after a rubbish sleep. 

Breakfast and bath before I left home at five past eight, whereupon I walked to the bus station.

Bus from Mansfield to Newark at 8:45. Arrived in Newark at 10:10. Got a couple of bits from Savers while I was there. 

I arrived at the dental clinic at 10:30 for my 10:45 appointment. The appointment finished a little earlier than 11:15, after they had extracted what was left of a tooth, in order to hopefully remove a growth inside my gum. 

From there I caught a bus from Newark that left at 11:20, to go back home. 

After some sandwiches and an Apple juice I went for a nap that lasted almost three hours, during which I had received an email from the courts to say that my application for a rehearing to get the points on my driving licence and fine looked at had been declined. 

That means me potentially having to leave work altogether, as I need a driving licence to drive across three counties responding to alarm calls. 

I messaged work to tell them the bad news.

  Sunday August 10th 2025 -  I got in from the Saturday night shift at twenty past five, and drifted to sleep a little after six in the morning.  A minute or so after ten in the morning, I woke up for the toilet and looked at my phone. I noticed that I had missed phone calls and messages from my aunties Carol and Ann, as well as a fairly recent message from my younger brother James. They were all asking me to contact them.  I had a feeling that I knew what it was, but I didn’t want to believe it.
