Tuesday April 7th 

Awake at 7:20am

Podcast listening. 

I paid the £1402 fine for the driving incident. Still four and a half months before I can drive. I’ll be unemployed before then. 

Work had suggested something that could be done to keep me around, but then literally seven days later said that they couldn’t keep doing that. A slightly slower turnaround than the governments of the US or U.K.!

Walk home from there, finding the bank closing as I wanted to go in, and a stop off at Tesco for milk.

Awake at ten to nine after initially waking at around 7:30.

A Passage of Time

  Sunday August 10th 2025 -  I got in from the Saturday night shift at twenty past five, and drifted to sleep a little after six in the morning.  A minute or so after ten in the morning, I woke up for the toilet and looked at my phone. I noticed that I had missed phone calls and messages from my aunties Carol and Ann, as well as a fairly recent message from my younger brother James. They were all asking me to contact them.  I had a feeling that I knew what it was, but I didn’t want to believe it. I messaged my younger brother James, who then rang to tell me that Mum had passed away sometime around 7:30 in the morning.  I messaged someone at work about it, who let a Director know. I misunderstood a message telling me to talk to Wayne in the office on the Monday morning, so got ready for work at the usual time, and showed up at the office at 4:40pm for the five o’clock start, to find that Andy had come in to cover for me, and was told that I was also covered for t...
