Radio Headspace - (0:05) 24 June 2020: *Today, We’re Going to Talk About Death - There is an exercise in the monastery where every evening, the monks and nuns acknowledge the fact that one day, we will die. Not in a morbid or sad way, but in a way that helps us appreciate each and every moment we’ve been given.* If I ever think about death I just think about how I’ve wasted life, and been dealt a shitty hand for the entirety of it! If I take a chance at doing anything, then I am putting in jeopardy the house that we live in by not paying bills. We could become homeless by having a day out somewhere, by buying a chocolate bar, or anything. The podcast I make costs money, and that is money that I often wonder if it is worth spending. My website costs money! I would be financially better off not doing the podcast, but would I feel fulfilled?*

When They Was Fab - (1:25) 4 November 2023: *I know it's true. There's a new Beatles song and video, and short documentary out in the wild. Lonnie and I are joined by Kit O'Toole (Queen of all Beatles Media!), Tom Hunyady (one of the two legs) and Erika White (BC the Beatles), as we go through the single (does clear count as a color?), the song, the documentary, the video and the T-shirt.* Erica actually went to a an event organised by Apple to listen to the song, watch the music video, the film, and heard two songs from the forthcoming Beatles compilations. They go on a tangent about the anthology series, with Ed mentioning that he owns the laser disc version, saying that laser disc was better than DVD, and the best format until Blu-ray came out. I wouldn’t know. The story behind the artwork on the reverse. Yes, Tom, that is cello, and very much like the sort of thing that Electric Light Orchestra used to do. Apology to Jeff Lynne fans from Ed. Peter Jackson’s future has now been decided by these guys, LOL. Sheep farming trivia. Ridiculous outcry from people about the human being in the video, especially when the band were very much about humour. Planet of the apes reference from Tom, LOL. “Stay on target!” George in September of 1963 in New York? “It shows you how far we have come since Forrest Gump”, LOL. Live action version of yellow Submarine. Drumhead image changed. “Slightly high?” Outtake footage from the film “a hard days night” from the balcony where a very young Phil Collins was sat. Post show sees me talking about the song.
