Really? No, really! - 12 March 2024: Jason and Peter chat with Wade Eastwood, stunt director for Tom Cruise films about how they approach the stunts that Tom Cruise himself performs. Great mention at the beginning before being joined by Wade, where they chat about the stunt work of the amazing Buster Keaton. Taking a year and a half to two years to prepare for each stunt, which also includes an eating regime. The bike jump. Great anecdote from Jason about Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin in the very underrated film Midnight Run. Conditioning the cast. Training Hayley Atwell. After the break, when they are finished talking with Wade, the presenters chat with each other about the conversation that they’ve had. Jason is worried that something could very likely happen with regards to Tom Cruise and the stunts. Jason says that he wouldn’t want to die,  what he loves, but that he would want to finish what he loves first.

The first stuntwoman, Helen Gibson. Jason’s own experiences with stunt work. Good discussion about stunts that didn’t quite work properly in Seinfeld. In the end credits, there is a list of the most dangerous stunts ever put onto film, which I’m surprised includes the MCU. I thought all of the Marvel films had CGI stunts.

Naked Scientists In Short - 14 November 2023: *Shift Work Shafts Brains - Researchers say that doing anti-social shifts over many years can dent your brain power. In other words you can't think straight. The team collected data from three thousand workers in France, who underwent memory and other tests of brain function. Individuals who had worked shifts for over ten years had the same results as someone six and a half years older than them. But here's the good part. Luckily the effect may be reversible. Chris Smith spoke to study author Philip Tucker, from Swansea University, to find out more. [That’s right, shiftwork does indeed not help with your brain. So, would I likely be on a par with Einstein if I wasn’t permanently doing night shifts? Who knows? All I know is that it destroys any semblance of a normal life. Who is me, LOL.]
