Intro. “What’s that song all about?” The last song by the move to feature Carl Wayne on lead vocals, and the first two feature Rick Price on base, having replaced Trevor Burton. Roy Wood was not a fan of the song. Apparently Roy and Bev saw this as bubblegum pop. Was it a hit? Yes, it was on the charts for twelve weeks in the U.K. Home recording of listener Kate Brennan covering Don’t Walk Away as a Patreon only bonus. Thoughts from Troy. Welcome back to the show, Troy. Outro.

Face The Music: An Electric Light Orchestra Song by Song Podcast - Patreon Expanded Episode: intro. This time the Eric’s are looking at the song This Time Tomorrow by The Move, the B-side to the single curly. “What’s that song all about?” Before I listen to this episode, I’ll just add my little bit to this, which is weird because I’m sure that they will mention this, but it is interesting that with the backwards guitar and the whole feel of it being experimental to a degree production and arrangement wise, it is interesting that they are doing that with a B-side.  Now onto their show. Friend-zoning. It reminds EPJ of Chad and Jeremy, as well as And I Love Her by The Beatles. Lead vocal by Rick Price. A listener got in touch with EPJ with some information they can now use in the show. New management the band didn’t choose were trying to force them to be something they weren’t. Spinal Tap mention. “What does it sound like backwards?” Here is an interesting question – I wonder if Carl Wayne was against this change in the band, in the way of the new management, and that’s why he left? Thoughts from Troy. Outro. Outtakes.
