  Wednesday March 23, 2022 - The Blurb - Woke up at 8am, which I suppose is to be expected when I’d got so sleep so early (for me). While Louise was getting ready I edited and finished off the edit for the group chat show where me, Tom and Eoghan discussed the fiftieth anniversary of The Godfather film being released on March 24th 1972.  The show also saw us go into the subject of other gangster films as well, and I think it has come out well. After all of the trouble that I had with the audio throughout, it’s a wonder that I got it to the state that it has ended up as - dipping in and out of connection, robotic sounding staggered speech, sentences where entire swathes were lost in the connection troubles I am encountering lately, and swooshing noises on someone’s audio when they move.  I really enjoyed having fun the other day during editing with the “song” I created with Tom’s bits, which helped me to keep on the days after with the editing, because the editing was gett...

  Tuesday March 22, 2022 - The Blurb - On Tuesday morning I got home for some time between ten past and twenty past nine in the morning after stopping off for some milk. That brought it’s own issue where I got out of the shop and spent fifteen to twenty minutes waiting for the ECU to kick in and allow me to start the car. At around ten in the morning I took a chance at last to contact Martyn Ware, the host of the show Electronically Yours, who is also a founder member, keyboard player and songwriter for the band Heaven 17, who are a band that started in the early eighties, which is in mine and Louise’s ballpark. Both me and Louise had a drink when I got in, with me eventually falling asleep at about one in the afternoon, and waking up at about 2:30pm.   Monday March 21, 2022 - The Blurb - I think I was home for about twenty past seven or so, when I got in and made Louise a cup of tea. I woke again at about midday, when it took me an age to get back to sleep, and then when I woke up at about a quarter to three in the afternoon I thought “sod it,” and got up. More painstaking editing on the group chat that I got fed up of, and ended up creating something fun with a few bits from the show - CLICK TO HEAR. Left for work a little early to allow me to drop Louise’s Mother’s Day card off at their house on my way to work for a relatively easy going night shift.   Sunday March 20, 2022 - The Blurb - Asleep a little before 7, then woken at 9 by Louise getting up, again at about 11, and then Louise’s phone was ringing in the next room at about 12:20, when I got fed up at around 1pm getting myself and Louise a drink, taking Louise’s to her in the office, where she was chatting with her mum on her phone, who I had a quick ten minutes chats with.  Editing the group show again was a nightmare, and made me decide that from now on I will not use Zoom to record shows unless the guests are using a phone, or if I am in fact using a phone remotely. It was also a pain taking notes on the chat with Alvaro during my listen, where I noticed how many edits will be needed there as well! The night shift went by without any serious incidents.   Saturday March 19, 2022 - The Blurb - In for about 6am, but not asleep until after 7 after an age of trying to nod off.    Irritating as I was fighting to stay awake on the drive home.  Woke up properly at ten to two in the afternoon, after waking at ten to twelve when Louise biped into the bedroom for something, and then she came in again at about half past twelve. I might have said “why didn’t you get these things when you got up or at least both at the same time?” I spent ages trying to clean up the sound for the group chat that I had with Tom and Eoghan about gangster films, because my connection was terrible, and I should really have conducted the show through Zencastr, because then I would have had clean audio from each of us, as opposed to shitty audio from my rubbish internet! I ended up having to grab the final hour of the recording to listen to and take notes of while in the van at work - 35 different edits needed in that hour of footage to work on! ...

  Friday March 18, 2022 - The Blurb - After getting home at around half past eight it took until around 9:30 to fall asleep, and then I woke up at 2:30pm, at which point I did the social media thing. I then went downstairs to have my breakfast in the dining room, while doing a little bit of editing on the forthcoming group chat release.    I did thatching the dining room to keep Louise company, who was in the kitchen doing a lovely lattice pie with red onion and goat’s cheese.  That lattice pie made a lovely accompaniment to the salad that Louise had packed up for me to take to work.  The shift was fairly quiet, and I was tired again - less than five hours of sleep on a Friday is not good in any way! I had to use Spotify to listen to the podcast 8th Inning Stretch, as it’s their first episode, and they use Anchor to make their show. It will probably end up on all other providers eventually.
