  Friday July the 23rd, 2021 - The Blurb - After the late sleeping, I woke up at twenty to three, getting drinks and breakfast. I’m not sure what I did after that… I need to get on with reading the new book by Kenneth Womack and Jason Kruppa, in readiness for arranging a chat with them about it.    I like to make sure that I’ve done research with people. I haven’t got any more work done on the episode of Pods Like Us for this Sunday either, and I think almost all of the episodes in the can have a LOT of footage to go through. I said “almost all” because there is an episode that isn’t, but I can’t put out two episodes consequentially with podcast listeners. I looked at my calendar and realised that the recordings on Wednesday were my first since the second week of June.    That’s five weeks without recording!   Thursday July the 22nd, 2021 - The Blurb - Thursday I woke up at about 1:30pm, after it had taken me until after 9am to fall asleep. The heat isn’t helping me to sleep. I came up with one of the themes for the new George Harrison podcast, which I forwarded to Hudson. I got the first episode of the show ready, and posted a private file up onto soundcloud, after having some problems with Podbean… I paid some money to Podbean, but then they said that what I had done was to have paid an annual charge to replace the monthly charge that I was already paying. Ed from When They Was Fab had suggested something to me, but I sorted of wanted to add it to the Podbean account that I have. I’m going to keep thinking about it before I get paid again next week, because quite frankly I could do without spending that large a sum of money out at the moment, what with being evicted. I picked up the washing from the laundrette, went to Morrison’s, and didn’t get the chance to have a nap.   ...

  Tuesday-Wednesday  July the 20th-21st, 2021 - The Blurb - So, I already mentioned in the last part of the blogging for Monday’s night shift that I got in for around 9:20am after work. It took until around 11am to drop off, and I woke up at 1:30pm, made myself and Louise drinks, and I had a bowl of cereal. What else did I do on Tuesday?  I took the laundry to the laundrette, did some shopping, that included getting bits for Louise to make pizza from scratch. I also fuelled up my car, that I still need to get fixed! Was it Tuesday that we watched the sixth and final episode of season one of Loki?    I think so, and it was fun. I can’t really differentiate between Tuesday and Wednesday. The only things I can say definitely were the two shows that I recorded on Wednesday.   Monday July the 19th, 2021 - The ‘Casts - part two: Grumble Goat - Mat likes corn but hates high fructose corn syrup. A joke in the eighties was that farmers would say they don’t grow corn because there was too much of it. They’re discussing that they’re on a break and have recorded episodes early to release them. I’ve got a surprise to send them soon. In fact, I’ve had an idea that I’ll contact them about. A human centipede of cars. What? Bourbon is made from corn?   Monday July the 19th, 2021 - The Blurb - Monday Monday… A quick train of thought poem for you; Oh what a tangled web is life Sometimes sweet and sometimes bitter Sometimes there is joy and glee And sometimes it is sh…… Well, hey there. “How you doing?” Monday I woke up at about half past two for some reason, after not falling asleep until late I believe. I had set alarms for 3pm and 4pm, but have a nasty habit that if I wake up with less than an hour before the alarm is due to go off, I will get up, make drinks for us both, and face the day to a degree. I think Louise stayed asleep until a bit later… She worries about me, so waits up for me, and then we go to bed together. Most of the time before work was spent discussing how things are, especially after an answerphone message from the estate agents who our landlord goes through, with the offer of a place to look at. I feel bad in some ways about bad mouthing them, but then again they are a business, so obviously they are backing...

Sunday July the 18th, 2021 - The Blurb - I got a little under six hours of sleep, finished editing the episode of Pods Like Us that has me speaking with my younger brother James.  All I had left to do was to place ads in there, which were for The Mindbuzz, Astroleague, The Rock Guys, Concerts That Made Us, and Decibolic.    I popped back to add those and then posted up the episode. Work was steady overnight, and started with me listening to Planet Rock after making a discovery… If I plug my iPhone SE into the van for using the CarPlay facility, it won’t keep working when it’s low on power.    With that in mind I have to make sure that the phone has a fair bit of charge before leaving for work. I got a fair bit of listening in, but not as much as I would have liked.
